ভূমিসেবা ডিজিটালাইজেশনে অবদান রাখায় ভূমিমন্ত্রীর আন্তর্জাতিক স্বীকৃতি লাভ

(ঢাকা, ২১ মার্চ, ২০২১) ‘ভূমি মন্ত্রণালয়ের স্বচ্ছ ও জবাবদিহিমূলক সরকারি প্রতিষ্ঠান হিসেবে বিকাশ লাভ ও সেবা ডিজিটালাইজিং’-এ অসামান্য অবদান রাখার স্বীকৃতি স্বরূপ ভূমিমন্ত্রী সাইফুজ্জামান চৌধুরী, এম.পিকে যুক্তরাজ্য ভিত্তিক সংগঠন ‘ওয়ার্ল্ড বুক অব রেকর্ডস’ সম্মাননা প্রদান করেছে।
আজ রবিবার বাংলাদেশ সচিবালয়ে ভূমি মন্ত্রণালয়ের সম্মেলন কক্ষে আয়োজিত এক অনুষ্ঠানে যুক্তরাজ্য থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে যুক্ত হয়ে ‘ওয়ার্ল্ড বুক অব রেকর্ডস’-এর সভাপতি ড. দিবাকর সুকুল আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ভূমিমন্ত্রী সাইফুজ্জামান চৌধুরীর প্রতি সম্মাননা উপস্থাপন করেন ও উপর্যুক্ত কাজের জন্য ভূমিমন্ত্রীর নাম প্রতিষ্ঠানটির রেকর্ডবুকে তালিকাভুক্ত করার কথা অবহিত করেন। পরে সংগঠনটির বাংলাদেশ অংশের সভাপতি রাওমান স্মিতা ভূমিমন্ত্রীর হাতে সম্মাননা সনদপত্র তুলে দেন।
ভূমি সচিব মোঃ মোস্তাফিজুর রহমান পিএএ এ সময় অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধুকে শ্রদ্ধার সাথে স্মরণ করে ভূমিমন্ত্রী সাইফুজ্জামান চৌধুরী অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য দেওয়ার সময় বলেন, 'ওয়ার্ল্ড বুক অব রেকর্ডস'-এর সম্মাননা পেয়ে আমি অত্যন্ত আনন্দিত এবং সম্মানিত বোধ করছি। আমি মনে করি এ অর্জন কেবল আমার নয় - এই অর্জন পুরো মন্ত্রণালয়ের। মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বলিষ্ঠ নেতৃত্বে আজ আমাদের এই অর্জন।
সাইফুজ্জামান চৌধুরী আরও বলেন, প্রধানমন্ত্রীর নেতৃত্বে বাংলাদেশ এখন মধ্যম আয়ের দেশের তালিকায় উন্নীত হয়েছে। আমাদের আরও বেশি চ্যালেঞ্জের মুখোমুখি হতে হবে। আমাদের ‘মাইন্ডসেট’ বদলিয়ে ‘বৃত্তের বাইরে’ চিন্তা করতে হবে।
মন্ত্রণালয় ও এর আওতাভুক্ত দপ্তর/সংস্থার সহকর্মীদের আমি সবসময় বলি কর্মক্ষেত্রে দক্ষতা, স্বচ্ছতা, জবাবদিহিতা নিশ্চিত করতে পারলে অনেক সমস্যার সমাধান হয়ে যায়। কাজে সততা ও আন্তরিকতা থাকলে সব সহজাত হয়ে যায়। কর্মদিয়েই মানুষের পরিচয় - মন্ত্রী এসময় যোগ করেন।
ভূমিমন্ত্রীকে উৎসাহ ও প্রেরণার উৎস বর্ণনা করে ওয়ার্ল্ড বুক অফ রেকর্ডস এর চেয়ারম্যান বলেন, ভূমি সেবা ডিজিটালাইজেশন কেবল সচ্ছতা ও জবাবদিহি নিশ্চিত করবেনা - মানুষের অধিকারও নিশ্চিত করবে। এ সময় তিনি যুক্তরাজ্যে বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে কর্মরত প্রবাসী বাঙ্গালীদের অসাধারণ কর্মকাণ্ডের কথা তুলে ধরেন।
ভূমি সচিব ভূমিমন্ত্রীকে সম্মাননার জন্য মনোনীত করার জন্য ওয়ার্ল্ড বুক অফ রেকর্ড কর্তৃপক্ষকে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়ে বলেন, মন্ত্রীর এ প্রাপ্তি আমাদের সবার জন্য প্রেরনাদায়ক। এটা আমাদের আরও ভালোভাবে কাজ করার জন্য উৎসাহ যোগাবে।
ভূমি সংস্কার বোর্ডের চেয়ারম্যান মোঃ মোস্তফা কামাল, ভূমি রেকর্ড ও জরিপ অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিচালক মোঃ তসলীমুল ইসলাম, ভূমি মন্ত্রণালয়ের অতিরিক্ত সচিব প্রদীপ কুমার দাস সহ ভূমি মন্ত্রণালয়ের ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ ও ‘ওয়ার্ল্ড বুক অব রেকর্ডস’ এর বাংলাদেশ অংশের বিভিন্ন সদস্য অনুষ্ঠানে অন্যান্যদের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
উল্লেখ্য, ওয়ার্ল্ড বুক অব রেকর্ডস বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে ঘটে যাওয়া অসাধারণ অর্জনসমূহ যাচাই ও তালিকাভুক্ত করণ পূর্বক সনদ প্রদানকারী যুক্তরাজ্য ভিত্তিক একটি সংগঠন।

Honorable Minister of Lands Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, MP has been felicitated by the 'World Book of Records' a UK-based organization in recognition of his "Matchless contribution in digitalizing services and developing transparent and accountable public institutions of the Ministry of Land, Bangladesh".
In a program organized in the conference room of the land ministry at the Bangladesh secretariat on Sunday, The Chairman of the ‘World Book of Records’, Dr. Diwakar Sukul, joining the event by video conference, formally felicitated Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury and informed him that his (Land Minister's) name of for the aforementioned achievement has been listed in the record book of the organization. Later, the President of the Bangladesh section of that organization Raoman Smitha handed over the certificate of honor to the land minister.
Land Secretary Md. Mostafizur Rahman PAA was present as a guest of honor at the occasion.
Remembering Father of the Nation Bangabandhu with reverence, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, while addressing the event, said, "I am very happy and honored to get felicitations from the 'World Book of Records." I think this achievement is not just my achievement - this achievement belongs to the whole ministry. Today's achievement has been possible due to the strong leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister.
Saifuzzaman Chowdhury further said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Bangladesh has now on the way to the reach the list of middle-income countries. We will have to face more challenges. We need to change our mindset and think outside the box.
I always tell the colleagues of the Ministry and its affiliated departments/agencies that problems can be solved if we can ensure efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the workplace. If there are honesty and sincerity in work, rest will follow naturally. People's identity is revealed through work - the minister added at this time.
Describing the land minister as a source of light and motivation, the chairman of the World Book of Records said that digitization of land services would not only ensure transparency and accountability - it would also ensure people's rights. At this time he highlighted the extraordinary activities of the expatriate Bangladeshi people working in various fields in the United Kingdom.
The Land Secretary thanked the World Book of Records organization for nominating the Land Minister for the honor and said, this achievement of the Minister is inspiring for all of us. It will encourage us to do better.

Taslimul Islam, Additional Secretary Pradip Kumar Das and other senior officials of the Ministry of Land, and various members of the Bangladesh section of the World Book of Records were present on the occasion amongst others.
